Mr. Whitaker was a Goodwill Ambassador for the Muscular Dystrophy Association meeting Presidents Kennedy and Johnson. A graduate of Wright State University, he has served as local MDA Chapter Presidents in both New Jersey and Ohio and as a member of the MDA National Task Force on Public Awareness, in New York City and Ohio.
He has recently begun working with the Disability Services Department (at Wright State University), on a program to help the undergraduate disabled students understand not only how, but also when, to begin the employment process. This year he also serves as Chair to the Nominations Committee.
