Dr. Maynard has given 25 years of exemplary leadership to disability services, nonprofit organizations in the government/public and private sectors. His credentials include a Ph.D. in Applied Behavioral Sciences and an Ohio Superintendent of County Boards of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (MR/DD) certificate.
As Executive Director of United Cerebral Palsy (greater-Seattle), Dr. Maynard orchestrated a substantial turnaround, almost tripling its annual revenue in three years. As founder and CEO of Ascent Management Group, Dr. Maynard worked with three of the largest national health charities in the design and execution of network-wide chapter/affiliate mergers and increased performance. Dr. Maynard has a strong leadership background in Ohio; serving individuals with developmental disabilities and their families as Ohio County Board of MR/DD Residential Director in Stark County and Superintendent of both the Carroll and Fairfield County Boards of MR/DD.
As Executive Director of RHC, Dr. Maynard has made a very positive impact on the agency. Utilizing his experience with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), RHC applied for and received over 2 million dollars in grants to construct barrier-free homes for people with developmental disabilities. Under his leadership, RHC also recently acquired the Hamilton County Housing Network and is in the process of upgrading and adding to the portfolio of 33 properties that currently houses 83 renters who have mental retardation and other developmental disabilities.
