Nozipho N. Nxumalo, Ph.D., is a consultant with the Office for Exceptional Children of the Ohio Department of Education. Dr. Nxumalo is a graduate of the Ohio State University and holds a doctoral degree in Educational Administration. In her capacity as a consultant with the Ohio Department of Education, Dr. Nxumalo provides technical assistance to school districts serving students with disabilities. She incorporates research-based data and best practice in helping districts implement action plans and programs designed to improve performance of students with disabilities in accordance with state and federal mandates. Through her years of working with diverse populations, Dr. Nxumalo embraces a positive view of the student condition, that there is a genius in all our children packed with untapped potential to excel, given the right conditions and support.
