Administrator of the Office of Transit (Ohio Department of Transportation), Marianne has been there almost three years. Prior to that, she was Director of Social/Senior/Transit Services (Manager of Rural Transit System) Community Action Committee of Pike County for 15 years.
Marianne holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology/Criminology (from The Ohio State University) and a Masters Degree in Social Work Administration (from The Ohio State University). She is a Licensed Social Worker, in the State of Ohio, and a Certified Senior Center Manager. She is a former Pike County Rotary Club member (where she held the office of President and Treasurer). She was an actively involved member of Women’s Transportation Seminar.
Marianne is involved in Transportation Coordination, at the local level in Pike County. This includes bringing together the community’s first transportation advisory council (which included members from JFS, MR/DD, Mental Health, Head Start, Bristol Village Retirement Center, customer representatives and the Pike County Senior Center).
She has spoken to several groups, including the American Public Transportation Association, about the benefits of transportation coordination.
She has been married for 21 years and lives in South Central Ohio.
