Lynn Aspey

Lynn Aspey joined the Career and Workforce Development Center in 2000, to coordinate Jewish Family Service’s role in the Greater Columbus Employment Maintenance Organization (EMO). As the Coordinator of Columbus (Ohio’s largest non-profit workforce development effort), she co-hosted four job fairs yearly; matched people to jobs; businesses to people and resources; offered free technical training; and conducted monthly strategy meetings to businesses and community-based organizations.  She grew 800 business contacts and exceeded grant standards for five and a half years.

Lynn has over 17 years experience in facilitating and coordinating Workforce Development programs.  She has both a B.S. and M.S. in Home Economics (with a masters-level specialization in Child Development and Family Living).  As Director of Business Relations, a newly created position at Jewish Family Services, Lynn brings people and businesses together to create synergy and opportunities that provides services to unite the business and non-profit worlds through training. She is also project coordinator for the Ohio Business Leadership Network, where she brings training and educational seminars to businesses (to explore issues and benefits of hiring people with disabilities). Currently, Lynn serves on three boards; COTA Governance Board, Action Ohio, and National Council of Jewish Women. She sums up her personal and professional determination with these words: “Building relationships is “vital” in having a united workplace; Corporate and Non-Profits, need and bring value to each other.”
