Debra Moody transitioned into the field of rehabilitation and disability in 2001, after 23 years of services with the City of Dayton in various capacities. She is currently a rehabilitation counselor in the Office of Disability Services, at Sinclair Community College.
She is a member of the Southwestern Ohio Council for Higher Education; Ohio Postsecondary Education Consortium on Disabilities; Montgomery County Board of Mental Retardation & Developmental Disabilities (MRDD); Human Rights Committee; MRDD Mental Health Supports & Services Advisory Board; and the Regional Transit Authority, Committee on Regional Transit Accessibility (CORTA). And she continues to serve on several other college-wide committees.
Debra Moody is a native Daytonian and holds an AA in Liberal Arts from Sinclair; a BA in business administration from Capital University; and a Master’s in Rehabilitation counseling from Wright State University. She is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a graduate of the Neighborhood Leadership Institute (NLI), where she is the president of her neighborhood association.
Debra enjoys spending quality time with senior citizens and participating in community projects. Her hobbies are reading, watching movies, and listening to diverse music.
