This September, in conjunction with National Preparedness Month, Bridge Multimedia will be offering a free online series entitled 30 Days, 30 Resources. This program will feature articles, guides, lists, and links to timely facts regarding disaster readiness for homes, schools, businesses, and more. All articles in the program are available for publication without further permission, in whole or in part, free of charge with attribution to Bridge Multimedia and http://www.EmergencyInfoOnline.org
For the 4th consecutive year, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is sponsoring September’s National Preparedness Month, a nationwide campaign designed to educate and encourage Americans to become active in preparing for possible emergencies. DHS has gathered hundreds of volunteer organizations to establish a National Preparedness Coalition to develop and host preparedness related events and activities throughout the nation. Bridge Multimedia, a Coalition member, has created 30 Days, 30 Resources as an ‘online event’ to further support Preparedness Month and its important goal. Currently, the first eight articles for Week 1: Back-to-School can be found on http://www.EmergencyInfoOnline.org, with the remainder of the month’s articles to follow as we approach Emergency Preparedness Month 2007.
Since 2004, Bridge Multimedia, a company dedicated to the production and promotion of universally accessible media, has posted and updated an online directory called Emergency Info Online as a community outreach effort. Emergency Info Online was developed as a method of disseminating information regarding emergency preparedness, particularly as it relates to individuals with disabilities.
